The dam for this bog broke during all that rain we had in October, but the beavers have already built it back up again.
I wish this were sharper, but this is the first picture I have ever gotten of one of these beavers.....

Great photos! My only regret is that we couldn't join you for the hike--it sure looks beautiful. I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving. Hopefully you didn't gain as much weight as I did in a mere 2 days!
